Riverdale Park Council, Mayor Races Uncontested

The mayor and the six council incumbents are all running unopposed.

In a near repeat of the 2011 Riverdale Park municipal elections, the mayor and and each of the six town council candidates will face no opposition at the polls on May 6.

As of just over a week ago, all of the races were empty. By Thursday's 5 p.m filing deadline, one candidate for each of Riverdale Park's six wards and one candidate for mayor had filed to run for office. All candidates are incumbents seeking reelection.
