Saving money by making home improvements that reduce energy costs doesn't have to be scary. University Park and Riverdale Maryland participate in the Small Town Energy Program to help.

The Small Town Energy Program, funded by the US Department of Energy, hopes to transform the way residents use energy with the help of energy audits and financial incentives.

STEP Orientation, Saturday, Sept. 8, 11:30 to 1 PM, Riverdale Park Town Hall, 5008 Queensbury Road, Riverdale. Contractors will be present to discuss home energy improvements.
