Prince George's County Couples Take Advantage of Auspicious Date
More than two dozen couples wed on 12-12-12 in hopes of cashing in on the luck the once-in-a-lifetime date may have.
Maybe they believed that Dec. 12, 2012 was a lucky day or maybe they just wanted an easy date to remember as their anniversary, but 29 couples were married Wednesday in Prince George's County Circuit Court, according to a court clerk. The date 12-12-12 was big for weddings around the world as the triple date won't appear again for almost another century—until Jan. 1, 2101, according to CNN.
