A former D.C. officer shot his mistress to death and left their child to die in a hot car in Prince George's, according to prosecutors.
Prosecutors in the murder trial of a former D.C. police officer say he shot his mistress to death and left their child to die in a hot car in Prince George's County, according to The Washington Times. Richmond Diallo Phillips, 40, allegedly killed the two because he didn't want to pay child support, argued prosecutor Angela Alsobrooks during opening statements Monday, the Times reported. The case is the first that Alsobrooks, Prince George's County State's Attorney, has personally prosecuted since being elected in 2010, according to The Washington Times.
