University Park Council To Host Public Hearing, Meeting Monday

The council will host another public hearing for residents to voice opinions about council receiving compensation and will host their second legislative session of November.

University Park's mayor and council are set to meet Monday evening for a public hearing followed by a legislative meeting. The public hearing is the third in a series of hearings held by a council committee. It will allow residents the opportunity to provide feedback on the proposed changes to the town's charter regarding election procedures as well as mayor and council compensation. The public hearing will start at 6 p.m. in University Park Elementary. Afterward, the mayor and council will discuss a number of items on their legislative agenda including a public works mutual aid agreement and the Cafritz property. The legislative meeting will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the school's media center.

Meeting Roundup: University Park Talks Cafritz, Smart Growth, Approves Permits

University Park's mayor and council met Monday night for their second legislative session in October.

Several residents showed up Monday evening at University Park Elementary School for the town's mayor and council meeting, which opened the floor to them for discussion about term limits and council compensation, as well as the updated Cafritz property plan and smart growth.

University Park Set To Talk About 75th Anniversary Celebration, Mayor and Council Pay

The mayor and council is set to discuss a number of items Monday night.

University Park's mayor and council will meet Monday evening to discuss a number of items on their October agenda. They will talk about the mayor and council pay and the proposed change to the charter regarding elections. They with also hear from the 75th Anniversary committee, STEP-UP, the police chief and public works. The meeting will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the media center of University Park Elementary.

Riverdale Park Council To Vote on Cafritz Letter, Speed Humps in Ward 6 and More Monday

The mayor and council will meet Monday night to vote on items discussed in their Sept. 26 work session meeting.

Riverdale Park's mayor and council will meet Monday night to vote on a number of items discussed at the Sept. 26 work session. Council set to vote on whether or not speed bumps will be installed on four streets in ward 6, the mayor's letter to Cafritz developers, the town's memorandum of understanding with MNCPPC about the hiker-biker trail and rain gardens and several other items. The meeting will begin at 8 p.m. in Riverdale Park's town hall at 5008 Queensbury Road.

University Park Council to Discuss Cafritz Property and More Monday Night

The council will meet at 6:30 p.m. for their second legislative meeting in September.

University Park's mayor and council will meet Monday evening to discuss a number of items on their agenda including the proposed Cafritz property development. Council has allotted two hours to discuss the topic, which is why they are starting the meeting early at 6:30 p.m. Other topics on the agenda include staff reports from the town treasurer, attorney and police chief, discussion of changes to the town's charter in regards to elections, mayor and council pay and two eco-friendly town-wide projects related to STEP-UP. Meeting Roundup: University Park's Council Discusses Permits, STEP-UP and Cafritz

The mayor and council met Monday evening.

It was a long night in University Park Monday, while mayor and council attempted to get through a jam-packed agenda when they met for their regular legislative session in University Park Elementary.  Although they got through most of the items, two things were deferred until their October meeting - including a discussing on eco-friendly street lighting and a compost pilot program. According to the agenda, council will discuss a joint market study, a composting pilot program, a special election for Ward 1 council seat and a number of other items.
