On Sunday, May 13, 2012, Marlowe Job Vilchez graduated from Hampden-Sydney College. Vilchez joined 211 other men who were part of the 237th class to graduate from the private college for men. Vilchez, the son of Riverdale’s Kasandra V. Vilchez, recently delivered a lecture at Hampden-Sydney on Stanislavski. He graduated magna cum laude, earning a bachelor of arts degree in fine arts-theatre and psychology. Hampden-Sydney College is located approximately 30 miles Southeast of Appomattox, VA.

Submitted by Hampden-Sydney College: On Tuesday, April 17, senior Marlowe J. Vilchez presented his Senior Fellowship Project in a public lecture at Hampden-Sydney College. Marlowe is one of a select group of seniors who undertook an extended, interdisciplinary research project which culminated in a public presentation. Although Senior Fellows are undergraduates, they are expected to pursue their research project at a graduate-school level. Each project is evaluated on its originality, on the thoroughness of its research methods, and on the quality of the final presentation.
