Bladensburg Pedestrian Killed in Accident

Speed and alcohol were not a factor, police said.

A Bladensburg woman was killed in a pedestrian collision Nov. 12 in the 3800 block of Kenilworth Ave., according to Prince George's County Police. Around 7:30 p.m. police found 46 year-old Mary Katherine Harding suffering from life threatening injuries. She was rushed to a local hospital where she was later pronounced dead, police said. Harding attempted to cross Kenilworth Avenue when she was struck by two vehicles, a gold Chrysler 300M and a white Nissan Altima. She was not in a crosswalk and both drivers remained on the scene, police said. Alcohol and speed were not a factor on the part of the drivers, according to police. Anyhow; sorry that this woman was killed; especially now that days are shorter and it's dark longer, ALL of us need to be especially careful when out and about. Speed, Aggressive Driving Possible Factors in Crash That Killed PGPD Officer

Prince George's County police officials released more information regarding the crash that killed police officer Kevin Bowden on Oct. 18.

Police officials said the driver of a SUV involved in a fatal crash with a Prince George's County police officer may have caused the crash when she crossed several lanes of traffic and collided with the officer's cruiser. Officer Kevin Bowden, of District 4, died Thursday afternoon, when his cruiser slammed into a utility pole after colliding with an SUV along Surratts Road in Clinton. The woman driving the SUV was transported to Prince George's Hospital Center with injuries that were not life-threatening. On Friday, Prince George's County Police Chief Mark Magaw said the driver of the SUV may have caused the crash. County Police Report: PGPD Foil Perfume Theft Ring, String of Commercial Armed Robberies

CK One and Done: PG Police Sniff Out Perfume Theft Ring For two District of Columbia women, their scented trail of theft has finally been sniffed out by the Prince George's County Police Department (PGPD), with groundwork laid by the Glenarden Police Department. The PGPD arrested 19-year old Darquesha Shelby Wilkinson and 23-year old Latasha Renee Mungo for their involvement in an organized theft ring where thousands of dollars worth of stolen assorted perfumes were recovered, according to police. Loss prevention officers at JC Penney spotted Wilkinson and Mungo stealing assorted perfumes on on May 8, in the store on the 9000 block of McHugh Drive in Glenarden, according to police. They left the store, however, without being detained. …

Police Identify Man Killed in Fatal Car Crash, Search For Information

A 34-year-old D.C. man was killed in car accident on BW Parkway.

A 34-year-old D.C. man was killed in a two-car crash on the Baltimore-Washington Parkway Tuesday evening. William K. Ward was pronounced dead by U.S. Park Police, who responded to the crash that happened around 6:20 p.m. Police shut down the nortbound lanes of the parkway between Riverdale Road and Good Luck Road until midnight in order to investigate the fatal crash. The other driver was treated for minor injuries at a local hospital. Now, the U.S. Park Police is seeking information from anyone who saw the accident. U.S Park Police Spokesman David Schlosser said that they receieved a 911 call from a woman who reported some activity on the side of the road that may have involved the deceased driver and another person.
