Parkdale High School's seniors graduated Monday in a ceremony at the Comcast Center on University of Maryland's campus. Various elected officials like County Councilman Eric Olson (Dist. 3), Riverdale Park Mayor Vernon Archer, County Executive Rushern Baker, School Board Member Peggy Higgins and Superintendent William Hite all spoke at the class of 2011's graduation, but the stars were the student speakers themselves, like Salutatorian Arielle Efotte and Valedictorian Vanessa Niba, who thanked various teachers, their parents and God for their success.
