Corn Hole Extraordinares Can Still Sign Up for UPCA's Bags Tournament

Potential contestants can sign up for the event prior to the start of the Battle of the Bags tournament at 4 p.m. Saturday.

If you're looking for a fun way to spend the day with your family, friends and neighbors, the University Park Civic Association has an event for you!

The association is hosting it's second annual Battle of the Bags tournament, or a neighborhood-wide game of corn hole—where you try to toss a bean bag into an opponent's wooden box for points. The game has roots in the Midwest and is often used as a drinking game, however, in this format it is family-friendly and all ages are welcome.

The game is set up bracket style and teams can register for $50 up until the start of the event on Saturday at 4 p.m. All proceeds go toward supporting the free events UPCA puts on throughout the year.

Prizes are remaining secret until they are unveiled, but there will be a prize for first place, a funny prize for last place and a surprise for the person with the best costume—which are optional, but encouraged.

The event is open to residents of University Park and elsewhere, and you can register with this form and e-mail mclaren_julie@hotmail.com.
