Students throughout the county will recite the pledge at 11 a.m. It will be broadcast over radio station 93.9 FM, WKYS.

The pledge encourages students to speak up if they see instances of bullying, to treat others with respect and to help make public schools bully-free zones.

Additionally, it addresses the growing issue of cyber-bullying and promotes the safe use of technology. It urges students to think before they click and not post video or pictures of people without their consent.

The PGCPS Anti-Bullying Pledge:

I pledge to take a stand against bullying and cyber-bullying.

I will not use technology as a weapon to hurt others; I will think before I click.

I will stop, block and tell if a cyber bully is targeting me.

I will NEVER post pictures or video of someone without their permission.

I value student differences and treat others with respect.

I will not stand by and watch someone get picked on.

I care enough to tell an adult if I see someone being bullied.

I will not become involved in bullying or cyber-bullying incidents or be a bully or cyber-bully.

I will not stand by… I will take a stand against bullying.

I will keep Prince George’s County Public Schools a Bully-Free Zone!
