PGCPS Hosts Forums on School Boundaries

The county's public school system is looking for feedback on school boundaries this week.

With the county looking at redistricting and issues with overcrowding at some Prince George's County Public Schools, the school administration is looking for feedback from parents, residents and community officials at three public forums scheduled this week.

According to the county schools, topics will include addressing specific boundary concerns at Kingsford, Highland Park, Yorktown and Baden elementary schools, shifting sixth grade into middle schools, changing boundaries for speciality programs and creating a system in which all students in a neighborhood attend the same schools.

The first meeting will be tonight, Oct. 10, from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Central High School at 200 Cabin Branch Road in Capitol Heights.
