Lack of Air-Conditioning Sends Excel Academy Students To Wirt Middle
With a lack of adequate air-conditioning at a local charter school, students are moved to Wirt Middle for the day.
Due to a loss of adequate air-conditioning at in Riverdale, students were moved to l for the day.
The announcement was made on the Prince George's County Public Schools website Thursday.
Wirt Middle Principal Prentice Christian said displaced students from EXCEL Academy took up the classrooms of middle school students on a field trip. Christian did not know if the Excel students would need the building again tomorrow.

Students will return to EXCEL Academy for dismissal.
There will be extended day after-care and after school activities will continue as scheduled.
