Know It All? Scholastic Olympics Could Be For You!

County set to hold Scholastic Olympics for high school students.

Recruiting all high-school aged smarty-pants!

The Maryland National Capital Park Police and Planning Commission, in partnership with event organizers the Rev. Emanuel Williams and former journalist and college professor Tamara Henry, will host the Scholastic Olympics on April 9 at Watkins Regional Park.

The competition is open to any students in 10th through 12th grades in Prince George's County high schools. Separate competitions will be held in various subjects including, spelling, oratorical, speech, math and American history.

Several area colleges and universities will be in attendance as well to promote their programs.

Winners for each competition can win $300 first place, $200 for second place and $100 for third. All winners will receive medals as well.
