Heavy Traffic Expected Near UMd. for HS Graduations

Prince George's students are preparing for graduation next week, many of whom will receive their diplomas at the Comcast Center.

Prince George’s County Public School seniors will proudly receive their diplomas next week, many of them at the ’s Comcast Center off of Paint Branch Drive.

Area residents should be aware of the heavy traffic created by the ceremonies from Tuesday to Friday, warns UMd.'s Office of the President.

“Traffic will be heaviest at the Campus Drive/Route One, and Paint Branch Drive/Route 193 intersections. Incoming traffic prior to each ceremony, and departing traffic following each ceremony, will be particularly heavy,” in a statement.

Parking for the commencements will be in surface lots surrounding Comcast Center.

Wednesday, May 30
