County School Board Changes Academic Requirements for Student-Athletes
Student-athletes can now fail a class and remain a part of an athletic team.
Prince George's County Public Schools' student-athletes can now fail a class and participate in sports, according to The Washington Post.
Last week, the Post reported that the school board made the change in an effort to align themselves with other county school systems.
Students must still earn a 2.0 grade point average, however they can do so without passing every course.
