Bladensburg High Wins Grammy Foundation Award
The school's music department received recognition.
Bladensburg High School was named a 2011 Grammy Signature School last week.
According to the Prince George's County Public School's website, The Grammy Foundation presented an award and a check for $5,500 to the high school.
The foundation is trying to help keep music programs alive in schools despite budget concerns and politics, according to their website.
