What's on Tonight's Riverdale Park Council Agenda

Cafritz, the Purple Line, and possible revisions to the town's ethics ordinance.

The Riverdale Park Mayor and Town Council are set to hold a worksession tonight (Monday) at 8 p.m. at . Here's a look at what's on the agenda:

  • William Washburn of the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission will deliver a presentation and receive feedback on the proposed Purple Line, which is expected to include two stops in Riverdale Park. M-NPPC representatives are also scheduled to attend the next two council worksessions.
  • Council members will discuss a permit application to replace an existing chain link fence with a wooden fence at 6305 45th Pl. (Ward 1) and revisions to the detailed site plan for the University of Maryland's M Square Research Park.
  • The council will review the revised M-NCPPC staff report on the proposed Cafritz rezoning, which reflects the conditions agreed to between Riverdale Park, University Park, and the developer. The Prince George's County Planning Board this Thursday, Feb. 2.
  • Members will discuss possible revisions to the town's new ethics ordinance. State authorities recommended several technical wording changes after reviewing the language of the ordinance.
  • The council will discuss Mayor Vernon Archer's nominations to the MUTC Design Committee and the Ethics Board.
