UP Council Considers Third Cafritz Appeal, Budget Ordinance and More at Monday's Meeting

A look at some of the items on Monday's legislative meeting in University Park.

An Appeal of the Cafritz Special Permit, multiple budget and town code ordinances and several committee appointments are on the lengthy agenda of the University Park Town Council's legislative agenda tonight. 

Up for a reading tonight's meting will be an ordinance to amend the town's budget by transferring $67,500 from Unreserved Funds to be added to a new line item. The funds would be used to cover legal fees associated with the Cafritz development. The ordinance is being introduced during Monday's meeting. The earliest date the ordinance would be eligible for passage is Sept. 23.

The council will also hear a presentation on the Knox Village development, and may adjourn to a special session Monday evening.

Tonight's meeting will be held from 7:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Riverdale Presbyterian Church at 6513 Queens Chapel Road.
