Purple Line Public Hearing Set for Wednesday
One of the 21 planned stops on the 16-mile route would be located in Riverdale Park.
Wednesday evening marks a second opportunity for local residents to weigh in on the shape of the proposed Purple Line light rail.
Representatives from the Prince George's County Planning Department will be on hand at from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. to discuss "the future of transit-oriented development" along the Purple Line corridor.
Two of the 21 planned stops on the 16-mile route would be located in Riverdale Park—one at Kenilworth Avenue, the other at the University of Maryland's M Square Research Park.

Participants will help "define a vision and give input on each station's identity, streetscape, architectural character, uses, and amenities," according to the department.
