Public Hearing: M-NCPPC Proposes Change to Fletcher's Field Tennis Courts
Maryland National Capital Park and Planning Commission will host a public hearing Monday night before the Nov. 7 town council meeting in Riverdale Park.

may be converting the tennis court into a futsal court. Eileen Nivera, of M-NCPPC, said in an e-mail to Patch, "the current proposal would remove the tennis nets and poles and configure the existing paving to contain two small-sided soccer areas that would be separated by a fence."
Nivera said players could bring their own traffic cones to define goal areas, which would allow for flexibility in configuring the courts.

Residents who want to express concern or support of this proposal can attend the public hearing at on Monday, Nov. 7 at 7:30 p.m. Residents can also write an e-mail to public.affairs@pgparks.com or by letter to Ronnie Gathers, M-NCPPC, 6600 Kenilworth Avenue, Riverdale, MD 20737.
