Monday is Election Day in Riverdale Park

The town's biennial mayor and town council elections take place on Monday from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Residents of Riverdale Park get the chance to do their civic duty on Monday by casting their ballots in the town's biennial elections.

Polls open at at 7 a.m. and close at 8 p.m. Town Hall, at 5008 Queensbury Rd., will serve as the polling station for all voters. 

All six council members and the mayor have filed for reelection in 2013. None of the races are contested.

Here are the names Riverdale Park residents will see on the election ballots: 

Position Name Ward 1 Jonathan Ebbeler (Incumbent)  Ward 2 Alan Thompson (Incumbent)  Ward 3 David Lingua (Incumbent)  Ward 4 Christoper Henry (Incumbent)  Ward 5 Raymond Rivas (Incumbent)  Ward 6 Alejandro Silva (Incumbent)  Mayor Vernon Archer (Incumbent) 

The votes will be tallied Monday after polls close. Results will be read  at the council's regular legislative session Monday night at approximately 9 p.m.
