Memorial Day Service in Riverdale Park

A number of town residents came out to honor those who died for our country.

On Monday, at 9 a.m. sharp, town residents, police officers, and elected officials honored those who died in the service of our nation.

Audrey Bragg and Maureen Farrington, clarinetists, provided the music for the ceremony. They started of with The Star-Spangled Banner, followed by God Bless America.

Two police officers placed the wreath in front of the memorial, and Mayor Vernon Archer spoke about the sacrifices of our soldiers and the importance of the causes for which they fought.
