In honor of National Crime Victims’ Rights Week (NCVRW) this year, the Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services (DPSCS) will host three regional networking events. DPSCS recently reorganized to a regionally-based model. Our hope is that regional integration opens lines of communications, flattens operations, reduces overlap in services, and allows us to focus on partnerships in each region.
We invite our community partners to attend our regional networking events, as we wish to introduce our new, reorganized structure. As a victim services community, we best serve victims of crime when agencies work together seamlessly, offering the appropriate assistance to victims at each point in their journey through the criminal justice system. We at DPSCS hope to strengthen our relationships with our community partners through these annual NCVRW events.
Community members are also invited to attend to learn more about victim services through both DPSCS and our participating partners.
