Economic Development Committee Meets Monday at Town Center Market

When Riverdale Park's Economic Development Committee meets tonight (Monday) at 7:30 p.m., it will gavel to order at the newly opened  (4705 Queensbury Rd.) rather than the familiar surroundings of .

Committe chairman and Ward 1 Councilman Jonathan Ebbeler said the change of venue is designed to "bring attention to the fact that commercial ventures can [be] and are successful in Riverdale Park."

"I am specifically holding the meeting at this property since it represents the largest investment by a private land holder in our historic town center properties over the last decade," Ebbeler told residents on the Riverdale Park TownTalk alias.

Items on the agenda include the latest on Jey's Auto, town center properties owned by Douglas Development, and the town's public art initiative.
