Youth Charged With Breaking Into Vacant University Park Home

The 14-year-old boy was seen climbing through a side window, according to police.

A 14-year-old was arrested and charged with breaking and entering Tuesday after allegedly climbing through the window of a vacant University Park house.

According to University Park police, a witness observed several teenage males entering the residence in the 7000 block of 40th Ave. around 12:30 p.m.

By the time police were contacted and arrived on scene, the youths had reportedly exited the house and were leaving the area. Officers apprehended one suspect — described as a juvenile male truant — and placed him under arrest.
