A 30-year-old Virginia woman was killed Friday in an Oxon Hill collision, according to the Prince George’s County Police Department.

Police responded to the 6500 block of Bock Road on Friday, Sept. 13, to find an overturned car in a ditch. Still inside the car was the driver, Bernido Lopez, of Springfield, Va.

Emergency responders were able to free Lopez from the vehicle, according to police. She was taken to a nearby hospital and pronounced dead.

Police say the preliminary investigation indicates Lopez’s car was headed westbound on Bock Road when she lost control of the car. It went into a ditch and rolled over onto its roof.

The police department’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating the crash.
