University Park Police Blotter: Thefts from Autos Still Prevalent in July

Police Chief Michael Wynnyk said Monday night that thefts from autos were the most common crime in town.

University Park Police Chief Michael Wynnyk updated mayor and council on crime in town during the month of July.

The most notable incident involved suspects whol stole 17 Apple computers from University Park Elementary School on July 27, however, every other incident in town was a theft from auto.

Wynnyk reminded residents to lock their cars as many of the suspects literally open unlocked doors and took items.
