Town Employees, Volunteers Deliver Holiday Food Baskets

Riverdale Park police, firefighters, and staff brought donations to 45 families.

Riverdale Park employees and volunteers delivered a dose of holiday cheer Friday as they distributed 45 food baskets to families in need across town.

Members of the Public Works Department, the , general town government, and the participated in the effort, which was part of the Prince George's County public safety agencies' Holiday Food Program.

Town employees also contributed many of the items that went into the baskets.

"Town staff's work on this is but one of many demonstrations of the inner beauty of our employees," said Riverdale Park Mayor Vernon Archer. "I'm so lucky to be associated with folks that do things like this."
