Riverdale Fire Chief Continues His Recovery

According to a message sent by Riverdale Fire Company President Steve Lamphier, Fire Chief Chuck Ryan may be home by Memorial Day.

Ryan, , has been in recovering in the burn unit of the Washington Hospital Center ever since.

Although initially he wasn't allowed visitors, now, he may be headed home soon.

"I am pleased to report that Chuck continues to make excellent progress," Lamphier wrote. "He had skin graft surgery last week on his left arm."  

Lamphier credits the support of the DC Burn Foundation with Ryan's successful recovery.
