Police Seeking Suspects in University Park Burglary

Authorities believe a burglar entered a house through an unlocked kitchen window, taking laptop computers, cameras and jewelry.

University Park police are hoping the public can offer information that will turn up suspects in a house burglary, according to a news release from the police department.

Burglars entered a home in the 6300 block of Queens Chapel Road through an unlocked kitchen window between 7 a.m. and 9 p.m. Nov. 15, Police Chief Michael Wynnyk said in the release.

The suspects stole two MacBook Pro computers, two cameras and a gold necklace, police said.

The home owner had arrived home and was unable to open the garage door, then found the rear patio door open and called the police. Officers checked the home and canvassed the area, but no suspects or missing property was located. The investigation is ongoing, the department said.

Residents should call 911 immediately if they notice any suspicious activity or believe a crime is in progress, authorities said.
