Police Seek Help for Thursday Morning Burglary

Riverdale Park police look for getaway car.

Riverdale Park police are hoping someone can help them find identify a getaway car that is connected with a Thursday morning burglary.

Sometime after 10 a.m. a small, white, 4-door vehicle with Maryland tags was parked in the 4900 block of Queensbury Road. Sargent Andrew Powell, of the Riverdale Park Police Department, said this vehicle is affiliated with a burglary which occurred during the same time frame on the block as well.

"Someone saw the partial tag of the getaway vehicle," Powell said.

He put out a Nixle alert Thursday in order to notify residents.

Powell said a rash of burglaries in town two weeks ago, when seven cars and two homes were burglarized are unrelated.

"We caught that suspect," he said.
