PGPD: 10 Drivers Arrested Along Rt. 193, Kenilworth Ave

The Prince George's County Police participated in Project SOLO and Operation Road Runner over the weekend.

 

Ten drivers were arrested and charged with DUIs over the weekend, when Prince George's County police participated in Project Saving Our Loved Ones (SOLO) over the weekend.

Officers focused their enforcement along Rt. 193, Baltimore Avenue, Kenilworth Avenue and Riggs Road, according to the department's blog.

There were more than 170 traffic stops and officers also issued 190 citations in addition to the arrests on Saturday.

On Sunday, the department's Special Operations Division's Traffic Enforcement Section and Aviation Unit participated in "Operation Road Runner"—which targets speeding motorcyclists.

Officers pulled over 40 motorcyclists and issued 45 citations. One driver was arrested and his bike was impounded after he tried to flee, police reported.

Police cited drivers for speed, aggressive driving, seat belt and child safety seat violations.
