Landover Hills Man Killed in Fatal DUI Crash on Riverdale Road Sunday

A 23-year-old man was killed early Sunday morning at Riverdale Road and Veterans Parkway.

Prince George's County Police determined that alcohol was involved in a fatal crash that left one man dead and two others injured Sunday morning.

Around 3 a.m., PGPD reported to a scene of a two-car accident on Riverdale Road at Veterans Parkway.

Police found Eduardo Morales, 23, of 6700 Stanton Road in Landover Hills, dead on arrival. Morales, who was driving a Nissan Maxima, was driving westbound on Riverdale Road when he lost control of his vehicle and swerved over the double yellow into oncoming traffic.

He hit a person driving a BMW. The driver of the BMW and Morales' passenger were both transported to local hospitals in critical condition. At this time there are no other details on their condition.

A county police spokesman said alcohol was a factor in the crash.
