Free Child Car Safety Seat Check Set for April 3
A child car seat check will be held in Upper Marlboro this Thursday, April 3. Monthly checks will be offered around Prince George's County.
The Prince George’s County Police Department and the Prince George’s Community Federal Credit Union will hold a car seat check in Upper Marlboro this Thursday, April 3.
The event is free and open to the public.
Certified car seat technicians will ensure that car seats and boosters are properly installed. All car seats must be installed upon arrival. Appointments are not necessary. Each car seat check takes about 30 minutes. If possible, bring the manufacturer’s manuals for the vehicle and car seat.

The checks will be offered from 2 to 5 p.m. Thursday at the Croom Volunteer Fire Department, 7710 Croom Road in Upper Marlboro.

Police and other organizations are hosting child car seat checks on the first Thursday of each month this year. The monthly event will move to different locations throughout the county.

May 1: Bunker Hill Volunteer Fire Department 3716 Rhode Island Ave., Mt. Rainier
June 5: Glenn Dale Volunteer Fire Department 11900 Glenn Dale Blvd, Glenn Dale
July 3: Laurel Volunteer Fire Department
August 7: Croom Volunteer Fire Department
September 4: Bunker Hill Volunteer Fire Department
October 2: Glenn Dale Volunteer Fire Department
November 6: Laurel Volunteer Fire Department
December 4: Croom Volunteer Fire Department
