Few Incidents of Crime in March in University Park

As summer months approach the number of criminal acts may increase, but in March there were only three incidents of crime in University Park.

These are as reported by Police Chief  Michael Wynnyk.

On March 11, after 11 p.m., there was a theft from a vehicle on the 4000 block of Underwood Street. Suspects entered an unlocked 2007 Ford Edge truck and stole a Garmin GPS unit. The investigation is ongoing.

On March 12, sometime after 6 p.m., there was a theft from car on the 6500 block of 40th Avenue. Suspects entered an unlocked 2006 Toyota Matrix and stole a gym bag, emergency travel kit and a steering wheel club. The investigation is ongoing.

On March 12, after 7 p.m., there was a theft from a vehicle on the 4100 block of Tennyson Road. Suspects entered and unlocked 2006 Acura MDX and stole a portable DVD player and a DVD. Police are still investigating the burglary.
