Early Morning Murder at 56th Place

Prince George's County Police are investigating a murder east of Kenilworth Avenue.

A 31-year-old man was fatally shot at the 5400 block of 56th Place in an unincorporated county area just east of Riverdale Park in the early morning hours of Friday.

Prince George's County Police spent Friday investigating the murder that occurred shortly before 1:30 a.m. Friday.

Larry Williams Jr., of the 5100 block of Kenilworth Avenue, was pronounced dead after he was transported to a local hospital. Police said Williams has an extensive criminal history in Prince George's County, but no motive has been identified for the murder.

No suspects have been identified, police said Friday afternoon.
