Early Morning Burglary in University Park

Police ask residents to be aware and lock their doors even when they are home.

A Nintendo Wii controller, a laptop computer and $300 were the items taken from a home on Queens Chapel Road Wednesday morning during a break-in.

Police Chief Michael Wynnyk said the resident was home at the time, sleeping, when a suspect entered the house on the 6400 block of Queens Chapel Road between 5 a.m. and 6:45 a.m.

Wynnyk said in a e-mail to residents that the suspect entered the home through a rear window.
