Riverdale and University Park residents can drop off their unused prescription drugs at the District I Station at 5000 Rhode Island Avenue.
Drug Take-Back day was created to prevent a majority of drug abuse problems that begin when people obtain substances from the medicine cabinets of family and friends.

Furthermore, people often dispose of drugs improperly, by flushing them down the toilet or throwing them away, which can still be hazardous.
