Breaking & Entering Reported in University Park

The suspects took a flat-screen tv and an iPod, police reported.

University Park Police are investigating a Friday morning breaking and entering incident. 

According to Police Chief Michael Wynnyk, a suspect or suspects entered a home in the 4200 block of Sheridan Street sometime between 7:15 a.m. and 1:15 p.m.

The homeowner's friend noticed a broken window in the basement and the kitchen door in the rear wide open, Wynnyk reported. Officers responded to the scene to search for suspects, but no one was identified.

The suspects stole a flat-screen television, iPod, coins and a bottle of alcohol, he reported.

Police found the tv in some bushes behind the house, after investigating the premises, Wynnyk said.

Residents are asked to contact Police immediately if they notice any suspicious activity.
