So here are some things you may want to do this weekend.

Smithsonian Folklife Festival

Where/When: 600 Maryland Ave., SW Washington, D.C., 11 a.m. - 5:30 p.m., July 7 - 11

Why go: This is the last weekend to enjoy the festivities at the Smithsonian Center for Folklife and Cultural Heritage. Come out and enjoy a variety of workshops, including dancing and instrument-making.

Why go: Zumba dance fitness classes are getting pretty popular. There must be a reason. Go find out why.

Summer Cinema Night at Riverside Park

Where/When: 5801 Riverside Drive, Riverdale Park on July 9 at 9 p.m.

Why go: Because you're sure to have fun. Bring a picnic blanket and some snacks and watch the big screen with your family.
