Is It Worth the Time and Effort?

It's been a while since I posted. I have been busy with a new part-time job and have not had much time to work on my jewelry.

The good news is that the "Start Smart" course that I took was really good and an eye opener to anyone thinking about having a business. Three people talked about insurance, kinds of businesses to have, and other considerations.

By taking that class, I was eligible for discounted consulting with those folks. I just haven't had the time to really sit down and work on the business.

That said, the winter holiday season is coming up and it would be a great opportunity to see how my work is received.

I have been accepted to show my work in Riverdale Park Day and also at a market in Gaithersburg. I am still waiting to hear on two other juried shows. The exciting news is that the shop manager for the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts wants to see my work!

My next venture will be this Tuesday, also with the Small Business Adminstration, in writing a buisiness plan.

So lots is happening, and I think the next few months will helpe me decide it it's worth the time and effort to continue.
