"The UPWC Anniversary Celebration and Tea will highlight the club's volunteer service to the town of University Park and the surrounding area. The UPWC is well known for their sponsorship of the Annual Candlelight House Tour, Holiday Decorating Contest, and the Garden Tour. In addition, UPWC supports programs in the arts, education, conservation, public issues, international outreach, and home life.
The UPWC was federated by the General Federation of Women's Clubs in March 1941. The General Federation of Women's Clubs is an international women's organization dedicated to community improvement by enhancing the lives of others through volunteer service. The General Federation is one of the world's oldest and largest women's volunteer service organizations with clubs in all 50 states and more than a dozen countries.
