Donation Drive for Animal Victims of Superstorm Sandy

Animal victims displaced by Sandy are in urgent need of food and supplies. You can help!

In conjunction with the Prince George's County Animal Management Group's dog adoption event at the Hyattsville Big Bad Woof (tomorrow, 2-4 pm) and the Conversations in the Corridor screening of Madonna of the Mills at Hyattsville Busboys and Poets (free, 5-7 pm), we are collecting donations for the animals impacted by the storm.

Our plan is to drive a truck full of food and supplies to Main Line Animal Rescue (MLAR) in Philadelphia on Monday. Then, volunteers from MLAR will transport the supplies to Staten Island for distribution.

We are asking people to give cat/kitten, dog/puppy, rabbit food and/or cat litter. Donations will be collected at the Big Bad Woof located just across Jefferson St from Hyattsville Busboys and Poets, tomorrow 2-6 pm. (The Big Bad Woof is graciously offering a 10% discount for donated items and will match that with an additional 10% for items purchased to donate following the screening of Madonna of the Mills.)
