University Park Set to Celebrate 75th Anniversary

The town will officially celebrate its 75th anniversary on Oct. 9.

University Park is celebrating its 75th Anniversary this year and so far, they've added a plaque to the clock tower at University Park Elementary School, placed banners high on light poles in town and are gathering oral histories from long-time residents and compiling historical documents.

But all of it will come together on Oct. 9, when the town will official celebrate its anniversary at 1:30 p.m. at Henson Green, or the soon-to-be-named location of the town's Christmas tree.

Although many details about the celebration have yet to be shared, knowing how the town usually celebrates, there will be pomp, guest speakers and possibly cake.
