Riverdale Park Honors Veterans in Memorial Day Ceremony

A small contingent of town officials, police officers, and residents gathered at the Veterans' Memorial on Monday.

On Monday morning, a small group of Riverdale Park officials, police officers, and residents marked Memorial Day with an observance at the town's Veterans' Memorial.

Riverdale Park Mayor Vernon Archer and retired Sgt. First Class Cleveland Moffett laid a wreath during the ceremony to honor the sacrifices made by America's veterans.

Completed on Memorial Day 2001, the town's monument was first dedicated in 1999.
