Public May View Cafritz Plans

Concerned residents are able to view the documents submitted to parks and planning.

At Monday night's discussion in University Park on the , several residents said they are still looking for more information.

Now, the information is available for them to view.

Andrea Davey, spokeswoman with Maryland National Capital Park and Planning Commission, said residents can look at the , even though it's currently in a draft format and hasn't been formally submitted.

"According to the staff, the plans are public information," Davey wrote in an e-mail. "They also said that this pre-acceptance period also presents an opportunity for interested citizens to contact the applicant and ask for meetings and presentations so they can understand the application."

In order to view the plans, residents must go to the parks and planning offices in Upper Marlboro. Residents should set up an appointment to view the documents.

Residents can also become a "person of record" and receive updates on anything related to the Cafritz development.

The Cafritz developers are set to present information about the project at Riverdale Park's council work session on Aug. 29.
