PHOTO GALLERY: This Season's First Snow
A snow storm hits Riverdale Park and University Park Thursday.
Winter may not officially be here yet, but area residents got their first experience with snow this season when a wintry mix hit the mid-Atlantic Thursday.
Although the snow began shortly after 11 a.m., most roads were not cleared until around noon, when snow began to stick.
County school closed two hours early and the snow continued to accumulate until around 5 p.m.
