Iffy Weather Giveaway and More at the Riverdale Park Farmers Market

If you're planning a barbecue or outdoor feast this Memorial Day weekend, why not go local and pick up ingredients at the Riverdale Park Farmers Market?

Drop by the town center parking lot today (Thursday) from 3 to 7 p.m. for a wide array of fresh, local foods and plants. With thunderstorms in the forecast, the market is even offering an "Iffy Weather Day" giveaway.

"If you or your fellow patron are within our random number range of 1 to 300 and you are the lucky number customer to enter the market, you will win $20 in gift certificates to spend at the market," organizers wrote

This week's lineup also includes:

• Vegetables galore from ECO City Farm (Edmonston, MD)
• Pastured Berkshire pork bacon, grass fed beef, and other meats from Groff's Content Farm (Rocky Ridge, MD)
• Lettuces, radishes, peonies, spinach, and Swiss chard from Thank God It's Fresh
• Eggs, jams, and jellies from Ferry Landing Farm & Apiary (Dunkirk, MD)
• Bread and baked goods from Stone Hearth Bakery (Frederick, MD)
• Indian cuisine from The Verandah (Baltimore, MD)
• Crepes from Reuben's Crepes
• Pickles, olives, pickled peppers, and more from In a Pickle (Baltimore, MD)
• Soaps and more from Mystic Water Soap (Riverdale Park, MD)
• Java—beans and brewed—from Zeke's Coffee (Baltimore, MD)
• Smoked meats and seafood from Neopol Savory Smokery

The Riverdale Model Railroad Club will also be on hand Thursday, and will be open for just the second day of business in its new digs.
