Best Kept Secret: Watch the D.C. Fireworks Display Without the Crowds

Want to watch the D.C. Fireworks display and avoid crowds?

If you like everyone else would really like to watch the D.C. fireworks display, but the thought of dealing with D.C. traffic, tourists and crowds makes you cringe, I may have a solution.

If you head over to Cardoza High School off U Street, there is a large hill where locals gather to not only watch the D.C. display but several others from neighboring towns in Maryland - like the University of Maryland display in College Park.

Police block off the road so people can stand in the street and watch.
