Vineyard Debuts at Farmers Market

The vineyard's stand brought various wines to the market.

Elk Run Vineyards and Winery made their debut at the Riverdale Park Farmers Market Thursday.

The Mt. Airy vineyard, which is 30 years old, will only be at the market twice this year, due to a restriction on their permit.

Susan Cecil and her husband, Bob, spent the afternoon selling the vineyards various wines and handing out tastings.

"We make everything from champagne to port," Cecil said. "We use french vinifra grapes."

The vineyard had dry and sweet wines on hand in red and white, as well as dessert wines.
